Irrigation that runs on site
and answers from anywhere.

IrrigEngine is a DIN-rail controller for drip and sprinkler systems, from a garden to a whole farm. Schedules run on the controller itself, even when the internet is down. Add the cloud dashboard when you want to check in from your phone.

One controller, from a villa garden to a whole farm

The controller sits between your water source and your valves. It opens each zone on schedule, checks its sensors first, and logs every run.

Villa with a green lawn, flower beds and a swimming pool under palm trees

Villas and private gardens

Lawn, hedges, flower beds and pots each on their own zone. Watering runs at dawn while you're away, and you can check on it from your phone.

Resort grounds with palm trees, lawns and landscaped terraces by the water

Hotels and resorts

Keep lawns, palms and planted terraces green across the whole property, with every zone logged and run from one dashboard.

Rows of young seedlings on a drip-irrigated field

Row crops

Drip tape along long rows, split into zones by pressure and crop. Remote IO boards save running cable to the far end of the field.

Almond orchard rows with a green cover crop between the trees

Orchards and vineyards

Long, deep watering on interval schedules, with a seasonal factor to shorten run times in autumn.

Tomato plants growing inside a high-tunnel greenhouse

Greenhouses

Short, frequent cycles triggered by soil-moisture readings, with every run logged for the grower.

Sprinklers watering the turf of a sports pitch

Parks and sports grounds

Sprinkler zones for pitches, parks and public green spaces, held back automatically when the rain sensor trips.

Everything a site needs to water itself

Set it up from any browser. Every setting lives on the controller, so it keeps working when the network doesn't.

Scheduling

  • Up to 16 zones

Each zone has its own schedules, valves, sensors and conditions. Mix onboard relays and remote IO boards on one system.

  • 3 schedule modes

Run at set times of day, every few hours, or when a soil or humidity sensor asks for water.

  • Seasonal factor

Scale every run time by a percentage, say 80% in autumn, without reprogramming anything.

  • Smart conditions

Skip or allow a run based on sensor checks: rain, soil moisture, flow, or any digital input.

Connectivity

  • Local web interface

The controller serves its own dashboard over WiFi. Open it from a phone or laptop on site, with no app to install.

  • Optional cloud dashboard

Link the controller to app.amancontrols.com to see every site and control zones from anywhere.

  • MQTT and Modbus

Connect to Home Assistant, Node-RED or any MQTT broker, and add up to 32 IO boards over one RS-485 bus.

Reliability

  • Latching and regulator valves

Drive standard solenoids, dual-coil latching valves with adjustable pulse times, and pressure-regulating valves.

  • Full run history

Every zone logs each cycle with its start time, exact duration and result, stored on the controller.

  • Backup and restore

Export the whole configuration as one file and load it onto another controller to commission identical sites.

From the box to watering in an afternoon

No proprietary programmer and no special software. Power it, wire it, and set it up from your phone.

  1. 1

    Mount the S3A Controller

Clip it onto a DIN rail and connect a 12–24 VDC supply. It boots in seconds and opens a WiFi setup network.

  2. 2

    Wire valves and sensors

Connect valves to the 4 onboard relays (COM and N.O.), sensors to the 8 digital inputs, and run the RS-485 bus to any remote IO boards.

  3. 3

    Join your WiFi

Enter your network details once on the setup page. The controller joins your network and serves its dashboard to any browser on it.

  4. 4

    Set up zones and schedules

Name each zone, choose which relay or IO channel opens its valve, then add schedules and any sensor conditions.

  5. 5

    Watch it run

See every zone's state and remaining time live. Start, stop or hold a zone by hand, or let the schedules take over. Link it to the cloud dashboard to do the same from anywhere.

Industrial parts, wired in minutes

Every component is off the shelf, rated for the field, and documented down to the terminal.

Remote IO boards

  • Modbus RTU over RS-485
  • Up to 32 boards on one bus
  • Powered at 8–25 VDC
  • Relay and digital input channels
  • 120 Ω terminator at the far end

Field sensors

  • Rain and freeze sensors
  • Soil moisture probes
  • Flow meters and pressure switches
  • On the controller or on IO boards
  • Used as triggers or safety checks

Valves

  • 24 VAC (typical) or 12 VDC
  • Normally open or normally closed
  • 2 wires per valve
  • Type and polarity set in the UI
  • One valve per relay channel

Valve compatibility

Choose the valve type for each output in the Outputs tab. All three are wired the same way, through a relay or an IO board output.

  • Standard solenoid

    Setting
    NORMAL_OPEN / NORMAL_CLOSE
    How it's driven
Relay held on for the whole run
    Notes
24 VAC or 12 VDC, 2 wires to COM and N.O.
  • Latching (pulse)

    Setting
    LATCH_OPEN / LATCH_CLOSE
    How it's driven
A short pulse on the open coil, then on the close coil
    Notes
    Pulse1 / Pulse2 in ms, 100 ms by default
  • Pressure-regulating

    Setting
    NORMAL_OPEN / NORMAL_CLOSE
    How it's driven
    Same as a standard solenoid
    Notes
Keeps line pressure steady for drip zones

Local by default, cloud when you want it

The controller never needs the internet to water. The cloud dashboard adds remote access on top, for you and your team.

On site

The controller serves its own web interface on your network. Schedules, sensors and history all live on the device.

From anywhere

Claim your controller at app.amancontrols.com to follow every zone live and control it from your phone.

  • Keeps watering when the internet is down
  • Live zone status, countdowns and valve states
  • Hold any zone on or off by hand, then hand it back to Auto
  • Team accounts with owner and manager roles
  • Run and event history for every zone
