Outputs Tab
An Output is a physical relay or digital output that actually opens or closes a valve. Each zone can have one or more outputs triggered simultaneously when the zone runs. Press + Add Output to add one.
Output Settings
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Label shown on the dashboard (e.g. O0, Valve A) |
| Valve Type | NORMAL_OPEN — relay energised to close valve (de-energised = water flows); NORMAL_CLOSED — opposite polarity |
| Active High | Toggle ON if the relay module triggers on a HIGH signal; OFF for LOW-active boards |
| Show on Dashboard | When ON, the relay state (ON/OFF) is visible on the main zone card |
| Scanner | Which connected IO Scanner or relay board controls this output (e.g. N8D_OUT ID:2) |
| Scanner IO Type | Communication protocol: MODBUS (RS-485) or DIRECT (GPIO) |
| Scanner Sub ID | The specific relay channel on the scanner board (e.g. [2] OUT02) |
How to Wire an Output
- Open the Outputs tab inside the zone configuration page.
- Tap "+ Add Output". A new Output 1 block appears.
- Enter a name (e.g. O0) and set the Valve Type to match your solenoid valve wiring.
- Enable "Show on Dashboard" so you can see the relay state from the home screen.
- Select the Scanner board and the specific channel (Scanner Sub ID) for this valve.
- Press Save. The output is now linked to this zone.
